Fiona has led the evolution of Business South West since 2013. Prior to this, she spent 25 years honing her senior managerial and entrepreneurial skills in a mind-boggling array of roles and sectors. Long before ‘transferable skills’ became business buzzwords, Fiona was applying her business development know how in tourism, hospitality, IT, primary produce exporting and not for profit community services.

Fiona has held senior business development and operations management roles in the public and private sectors. She is also a seasoned entrepreneur.

Always an innovator, when the Internet first arrived in Queensland, Fiona connected tourism operators in Cairns to eCommerce and online marketing. Since moving to Bunbury in 2004, Fiona has applied her IT and business systems expertise to establishing 3 South West Telstra stores, training teams at MySouthWest and The Salvation Army Employment Plus and building two thriving family tourism businesses.

Fiona is famous for ‘getting stuff done’. Her motto,  ‘don’t sweat the petty stuff and don’t pet the sweaty stuff’ sums up her ‘can do’ approach. Combine this proactive attitude with her legendary grasp of all things statistical and systems related and her peerless people skills and it’s easy to see why southwest small business owners trust Fiona’s advice on building brilliant enterprises.

As a firm believer in backing real world experience with current academic insight, Fiona has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Graduate and Certificate IV qualifications in Business, Management and Training and Assessment.

Fiona is WA Director of Business Enterprise Centres Australia. She is on the Board of Community Home Care and a member of the South West (WA) China Business Relations Office. She is also a strong advocate for the Heal for Life group.

Prior to moving into her natural niche in marketing and project management, Shannon was our ace Administration Officer.

‘She’s just excellent.’ is most frequent comment clients make about Shannon’s project management skills and brilliant branding ideas. We agree! Although there’s nothing ‘just’ about Shannon’s super service to you as a client and to us as a team.

Perhaps it’s her six years of solid local retail experience and longtime love of art and design. Maybe it’s the fact that she genuinely cares about your business success. Possibly it’s her curious, creative personality and her empathy for all ‘creatures great and small’.

In her marketing and project management role, Shannon combines her impressive people skills with her background in graphic design and visual arts.
